3/2011-11/2012 Environmental, Health & Safety Coordinator, KAMTEK, Inc.
KAMTEK is a Tier I Automotive Supplier of metal stamping parts. The facility is approximately 750,000 square feet, with 650 employees. I ensured that all procedures were in compliance with outside regulatory agencies—maintaining and submitting records that are required by OSHA, EPA, and ADEM. As an Emergency First Responder and First Aid provider, I responded to accidents for employee care and medical assessment. Subsequently, I conducted follow-up investigations and analyzed lost-time accidents for root cause and possible trends, and managed Workers’ Compensation. I performed monthly audits to identify unsafe work and environmental conditions or practices. Noise and air monitoring was performed periodically to ensure that all industrial hygiene regulations were met, and were kept at or below the Permissible Exposure Level (PEL). Assessments were routinely performed to identify and reduce high risk factors. As the Environmental Management Representative (EMR), I ensured that objectives and targets were met to maintain the ISO 14001 Program. I wrote and outlined operating procedures concerning all safety and environmental issues, as well as instituted and coordinated new employee orientation, environmental awareness, and monthly safety training schedules.

11/2007-3/2011 Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator, Flex-N-Gate Alabama, LLC
Flex-N-Gate is a Tier I Automotive Supplier of plastic mold injection and metal stamping parts. The facility is approximately 193,000 square feet, with 350 employees. All duties as outlined above in the KAMTEK description were also performed at Flex-N-Gate.

4/2004-11/2007 Safety/Environmental Engineer, Citation Corporation
I was responsible for the safety and environmental departments at three unionized ductile iron foundries in Alabama (Bessemer, Selma, and Marion), which included the supervision of two safety assistants and three safety committees. All duties as outlined above in the KAMTEK description were also performed at Citation.

1998-2004 Director of Safety & Quality, Millcraft-SMS Services
At Millcraft, a caster maintenance facility for steel mills, I was responsible for the safety, environmental, and quality departments at three Alabama plants (Birmingham, Fairfield, and Mobile). As described above, I ensured procedure compliance with OSHA and EPA, and analyzed lost-time accidents. I maintained and submitted all records that were required by OSHA, investigated all accidents and incidents, as well as performed quarterly audits at each plant. I also managed the internal quality program. This included maintenance of the ISO 9001 registration at the Fairfield location, and groundwork for a scratch-start quality program at the Mobile plant. I wrote and outlined quality and safety operating procedures. I instituted and coordinated monthly training schedules for quality and safety, and during a period of time, also managed the Purchasing Department.

1992-1998 Quality Control Manager, Airgas South, Inc.
At Airgas, I managed the internal quality program and also established and maintained the ISO 9001 Quality Program. Prior to promotion, I held the positions of Operations Coordinator and Assistant Purchasing Manager. I assisted in the engineering of a palletized cylinder storage system and created all drawings associated with that system. I studied and became familiar with safety requirements and Federal Motor Carrier Regulations because of their large fleet of trucks. I also published the company newsletter. After resignation, I acted as consultant to Airgas regarding the ISO Program.
